WHY GREEN?

Or as we prefer to say, why not green?

RECYCLED PAPER

One of the simplest ways to minimize your impact on the environment is to specify recycled paper for all your printing jobs.

Since the introduction of recycled printing papers to the market, the paper industry has come so far in the development of recycled coated and uncoated free sheets that every mill now offers recycled options. The quality of recycled paper available for offset printing is equal to any virgin sheet available.

One of the most important parts of our job is to educate ourselves and our customers, and to stay on top of new developments in the recycled paper industry. We attend industry events, do ongoing research, and most importantly, meet regularly with our paper representatives to ensure that we have the most current information and paper grades available. So when you call us, you know that you are getting advice from the most knowledgeable folks in the business.

With the volume of paper we purchase annually on behalf of our customers, we are able to offer the highest-content recycled paper at prices competitive to comparable virgin sheets.

Give Greendot a call and we can provide you samples of any grade you are interested in.

SOY AND VEGETABLE INKS

We only use soy and vegetable-based inks for all of our offset printing jobs. Greendot ensures that your piece is printed with the highest-quality agri-based inks.

The greatest benefit of using soy and vegetable inks is that they are manufactured with a sustainable, renewable resource. And because many ink manufacturers use domestically-grown plants, you contribute to lessening our industry's dependence on foreign petroleum products.

Printing with these inks means that your piece will require using less ink, due to the higher intensity of colors in soy and vegetable inks. You'll notice the difference in the clarity of colors in your printed piece - more vivid, higher contrast, and a cleaner dot.

DIGITAL PRINTING

There are times when budget and schedule suggest an alternative to offset printing. In those cases, our digital printing options may be best to suit your needs. The environmental benefits of digital printing mean your job will run in a "closed system" press, with all the byproducts of the printing process being recycled back into the equipment.

Doesn't green printing just make sense - ethically, economically, and environmentally?

Like we said, the question isn't "Why Green?"

It's "Why NOT Green?"

Even better, "Why not Greendot?"
